Deep Time Walk, Glendalough, 16 August, 10am - 1.45pm

€15.00

On this guided walk led by Anthea from Nature Tales & Trails, we will retrace Ireland's geological history and the lifeforms that existed here through time. Stopping to notice nature and biodiversity along the way, we will learn about what Ireland was like millions of years ago, and the catastrophic events that led to the rise and fall of volcanoes, oceans, ice sheets, and animals in Ireland, all the way to present day. Bring your curiosity and a desire to relax in nature.

This is a relaxing, slow-paced nature walk, suitable for beginners. We will be walking for about 8 km on flat ground.

This event is run as part of Heritage Week.

Your guide, Anthea Lacchia, is a writer, author, science communicator, and mountain leader with a background in geology and a PhD in palaeontology.

Booking essential. Meeting point details will be emailed after booking. Look out for an email one week before the event from naturetalesandtrails@gmail.com
