Spring Equinox Retreat — Hike, Sauna & Nature Connection, Glendalough, 21 March

from €45.00

Join us for a nourishing Spring Equinox Retreat in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains, as we gather to mark this moment of balance between light and dark and welcome the returning energy of spring with a hike and a sauna.

The spring equinox has long been a symbol of renewal, growth, and new beginnings — a time when day and night stand equal, and the natural world begins to awaken. This retreat offers space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with nature at this powerful seasonal threshold.

Our day begins with a gentle, mindful hike through Glendalough’s woodlands and valleys, guided at a relaxed pace. Along the way, we’ll practice forest bathing and mindfulness, taking time to notice subtle seasonal changes — emerging buds, birdsong, shifting light, and the quiet signs of life returning to the landscape.

We’ll also weave in nature learning and gentle education, exploring the rocks, landforms, and geological story of Glendalough — how ice, time, and stone have shaped this valley, and how landscape influences the ecosystems we see today.

After the walk, we’ll unwind together at a private riverside sauna by the Avonmore River — with time for optional cold-water dips and a tea ceremony to close the day, grounding us in warmth, balance, and shared reflection.
